Males ages 15-24 are at the highest risk for a boxer's fracture. 

 

They've been found to account for 60% of all hand injuries and 90% of all boxer's fractures (Jeanmonod, 2011).

Approximately 10% of all fratures occur in the metacarpals and phalanges (Steinberg, 2015).
