• Sign of fracture healing: check with x-ray, look for formation of calcification.

• No pain with functional movements, and compare to non-affected hand.

• 6 weeks after cast removal patient may play with only buddy taping/ protective splint.

• Test grip strength:  90% of contralateral strength
